City of Buhnn founded.
The small fishing fleet that was to become the nucleus of the Sea Peoples has its first outing.
Groundbreaking of Deeperdelf in Tronbaum.
Unguent, later to become Unguent the Druid, born.
First prophesies of the Fall of Zam. (SHATTERING)
Evacuation of Zam's peoples to Shazam begins.
Unguent begins his first hibernation. Dalquon's Manor leaves Zam.
Hibernation of The 1000 (mostly druids).
Deeperdelf sealed from inside - called "The Hunkering" by its residents.
Zam re-forms and cools. SHATTERING OF ZAM.
New geographical features start becoming clear-- "Footprints of the Gods".
Insects, plants and birds reappearing on Zam. Sea Peoples re-settle Buh and South Buh with farmer volunteers.
Along the side of a weathered slope, some pebbles began to dislodge. Soon a shovel head appeared and a grunt was heard from inside. The shovel head was retracted and replaced by a bearded face.
"Well, it's about time!" were its words for the occasion.
Smattering founded. Unguent wakes and revives Nathaniel's Other Forest. Argent becomes Unguent's disciple. The Hunkering ends as Deeperdelf digs itself out.
Zoofeld and The Bonkers founded. First elves reappear on Zam. Awakening of The 1000. Unguent re-assumes Grand Druid position.
Elves and halflings found Toehold. Theodoric Treehollow and family found Toenuckle.
Druids (principally Argent) develop rockwood.
NEAR FALL
Clement Firestone appears on Zam.
Unguent wasn't in the best of form as he dove out of the way of the smoking mass. What had started as an ostensibly safe transmutation of a fawn had turned nasty. He had only planned on a bit of gore, which an assistant could clean up, but this was an entirely different kettle of fish.
His dream self was pulled toward a place under several hundred feet of fresh water. He was held and inspected in an offhand manner by some thing that didn't seem to have hands, but whatever part of hime that cared must have been left back in the forest. He felt nearby (though on land) a group of worried people gathered around a woman in some obvious pain.
Ovalt founds Nokwood. Unguent begins developing his version of the deathmagic. Kronetz born.
Nevele appears on Zam.
Kronetz first notices deathmagic.
Kronetz 'taps into' Unguent's deathmagic.
Unguent hibernates again. Argent becomes Grand Druid.
Argent hibernates. Ovalt becomes Grand Druid. Kronetz founds Vergaantz.
Beginnings of split between Unguentine and Ovaltine druids.
Return of Pallid Throne to Zam.
Sea Peoples, Toeholders and Nokwooders facilitate resettlement of what becomes New Tronbaum in 2650. Kronetz stoned to death by elven children.
Clampdown founded to watch Leftfoot Mountains. Ovalt goes to Concordant Opposition plane to visit BRIGIT. Argent awakens and becomes Grand Druid again.
Orcs and such first enter Molokai.
Ovalt returns to Zam. Quarrel between Ovalt and Argent causes Sylvester the Nonentity to become Grand Druid.
Construction begins on Molokai obelisks.
Men and elves first settle what is to become Gagwytaspun in order to build the Woolsun Bridge over the Notushabi River.
Derek, to become Derek of Gagwytaspun, born.
Woolsun Bridge completed.
Obelisks completed.
Gagwytaspun founded and soon gains local reputation for having a strange and closed-off society.
UNGUENT'S THIRTEEN YEARS Deathmagic wakes Unguent, who works nonstop for 13 years. This strikes Zam almost worse than Shazam's fall in some respects. He doesn't eat, sleep or even sit down. He stands still very rarely, developing the "hopping prayer" to avoid exploding. Among other activities, he:
Due to backup of tectonic tensions which should have sunk Zam previously, continent of Shazam falls into the ocean. 98% fatality rate for Shazammers, 10% for Sea Peoples.
Several Unguentine druids confer in Foldrol to discuss the situation at hand. Unguent's (largely) unexplained activity is wearing out Eastern Zam, and seems quite unbalanced and un-druidlike. They plot with Sea Peoples' nobles -- Princess Coral, a half-elf, is tutored and reinforced for her liaison with Unguent. The druids pray franticly to GEB to aid them by giving Unguent appropriate signs. The plan works in part -- Unguent is back in hibernation (having fixed the bug in his deathmagic) within three moons of the wedding. Offspring, born New Year's Day 986, are identical twin males -- Henute and Dakkirus.
Vergaantz marches into Flattheim in response to Discordian League buildup and harassment.
Klodomuk engages Vergaantz troops in Flattheim. Vergaantzers fall back into Vergaantz to within 10 miles of the Donarr. Siege of Amuülk, noted for its massive casualties, begins. (This marks the first massive implementation of Vergaantz' special kind of deathmagic.)
Guerilla war in western Vergaantz. Vergaantzers hide; Klodomuk gives chase to avoid losing face.
Molokai agents secretly poison Druidwash. Hundreds die along Great River, especially among the Grippli.
New Tronbaum, thinking the poisoning was by Vergaantzers, invades Vergaantz briefly. Molokai invades New Tronbaum, who respond by pulling out of Vergaantz and battling Molokai along Noknok River.
Blarruk, a Grippli of Klodomuk, leads a group of Grippli past Gaantzport up the Vergaal, where they set up bases and conduct raids on Pedantium and other targets.
City of Lost founded by FangEsq.
Vergaantz learns of Molokai's responsibility for the poisoning and assassinates entire Molokai general staff. Chief Mage of Clampdown causes Molokai's rulers (and their descendants) to become very allergic to meat. (This, after a generation or two, causes the development of the nickname "Veggie" for Vergaantzers.) As a result, Molokai is in even more than usually total chaos for a century.
New Tronbaum reaches separate peace with Vergaantz. Dakkirus enters Klodomuk army.
Dakkirus leads Klodomuk army to Clampdown. First Consul surrenders conditionally. Boundaries return to pre-war (they don't want Flattheim anyway.) Consul gives daughter Theoril to Dakkirus as hostage, and Vergaantz' chief masterbuilder is sent to Frenkenford to effect repairs. (Citadel of Trust contains many unknown nether passages, including a gate to GW scenario.) Members of the Sons of Shazam arrive in Frenkenford and hire on as part of the construction crew.
Henute becomes a captain of the Sea Peoples in the northeastern seas.
Gagwytaspun starts to infiltrate Hotdamm and Frenkenford with agents.
Henute marries Plume, daughter of the Sea King, Blokkaus. About this time, Plukiduck dukes begin to eye annexation of Gagwytaspun.
Zhoka, daughter of Henute and Plume, born.
Gagwytaspun agents discover Buhnn's ancient Thieves' Guildhall under Frenkenford. This yields maps of Buhnn's sewer complex.
Arkaus, son of Henute and Plume, born. Blokkaus' seer Bunahnifice has a series of dreams regarding Arkaus and his kin.
Zhoka begins her training as a monk.
Bunahnifice makes advances on Zhoka, who jumps ship in Hoopla with his spell book. Bunahnifice hides his loss from Blokkaus.
Zhoka becomes preferred concubine of Hoopla's mayor.
Arkaus, still a child, begins to suspect Bunahnifice. He vows to study magic.
On the eve of a planned invasion of Gagwytaspun, Plukiduck discovers its general staff dead in their command tent. Cause of death is alcohol overdose.
Sea Peoples re-consecrate Fastness Island. Among those in the ceremonies are Blokkaus and Bunahnifice. Arkaus goes to Karnak to study. Zhoka founds the House of the Velvet Dragon in Hoopla.
Obelisks gain control of Molokai. Several bands of orcs who had been outside the range of the obelisks' control appear on the borders of Nokwood with offers of information in return for aid in retrieving their household goods. Nokwooders kill them outright and take their evidence and belongings to Nitnoid.
Andrea born near Frenkenford.
Raukksaan, niece of Blokkaus, born at sea over Grey Moth.
Their army finally rebuilt, Plukiduck sends Bartalt into southern end of the Unwanted Mountains to eliminate orcs which had been raiding Plukiduck communities. Orcs capture Bartalt and his party and hold them prisoner in anticipation of sale to Molokai. Raukksaan begins a five year period of study in Grey Moth.

anticipation of sale to Molokai.
They asked their guard why they had been taken prisoner rather than killed. He replied that his boss's boss had made it known that he was to inspect all booty for trade value. "He had to explain rather vigorously and for a long time, but we finally saw his point."
Bartalt and his group rescued by Andrea of Frenkenford and her band, who had been looking for the same band of orcs. Bartalt and Andrea married later that year.

Bartalt and Andrea married later that year.
Arkaus visits his sister Zhoka in Hoopla and is given Bunahnifice's spellbook. He notices Vergaantz' deathmagic and begins to study its effects.
Bartalt and Andrea plan joint Plukiduck/Flattheim invasion of Gagwytaspun. Bartalt's lieutenant, actually Gagwytaspun's agent, keeps her masters current. The free city establishes outposts down Notushabi River and starts moving agents into the sections of Frenkenford's undercity that they know of.
DRAMATIS PERSONAE:
Bartalt -- male human, born in Pluckiduck 878
Andrea -- female human, born in rural Flattheim 870
Bartalt's lieutenant, actually a Gagwytaspuner. She has lived in Pluckiduck since early childhood. Sometimes uses other parts of Derek for reconnaissance in order to show up Silbyl's scouting abilities.
Silbyl -- male human, Bartalt's lieutenant. Born near the southern fringe of the Unwanted Mountains, he is uncannily adept at fieldcraft and wields a mean staff. His self confidence at the beginning of this story is very low. Ulklala -- female drow, leader of the drow under Frenkenford. Grot -- a soldier in Andrea's group.
THEIR STORY:
Bartalt and Andrea plan joint Plukiduck/Flattheim invasion of Gagwytaspun. Plukiduck is still freaked out by the events of year 2700.
The plan is for Andrea to sail up to the last tributary of the Notushabi, then disembark on the southern shore.
Meanwhile, Bartalt is to march from Hotdamm to ford the Notushabi upriver from Gagwytaspun. The two groups would then converge on the city.
Bartalt's lieutenant, actually Gagwytaspun's agent, keeps her masters current. The free city establishes outposts down Notushabi River and starts moving agents into the sections of Frenkenford's undercity that they know of.
"Ah Frenkenford! What a vista of grand structures vainly
attempting to ignore each other!" Bartalt starts from Hotdamm.
Andrea's brooch stolen.
Battle of Bartalt's forces and those of Gagwytaspun east of Hotdamm.
Andrea leaves Frenkenford up the Notushabi River. Bartalt "finds" brooch as his enemies retreat south. He concludes that his opponents are endangering Andrea in some way.
Bartalt and his forces follow the Gagwytaspuners.
Andrea's fleet burned mysteriously -- few casualties.
Derek finds Veggies and Drow in Buhn and sets stakeouts which increase daily.
He sat there at his position looking downward as the tunnel around him became lit by the torch of the one with the food. He stood and she handed him the torch and sack and then sat down. He went forward. When he reached the next one, he handed over a bundle of food and continued on down the corridor to the point where he handed over the torch and the sack which contained a dozen more meals and a few other items for the forward posts. He sat down and watched the light recede before starting his meal.
Andrea continues, with half of her original ships and plus reserves equalling ten percent of the original number. Back in Frenkenford, Ulklala has become wary of the Gagwytaspun force and is going about beginning a hasty infiltration of the local thieves' guilds and carpenter shops.
Several of Andrea's ships stolen.
Another fire on Andrea's ships.
Grot, on guard duty that evening, gets a horrible itch in the center of his back. He inserts his sword under his armour to scratch it. The sword slips in his hand and nicks him in the small of the back before he catches it with his right hand. The arm is caught by his bow in a very awkward position and cannot lift the sword. The position the right arm is in pushes the armour to the left, so his left arm is forced to remain extended and about 20 degrees above the horizontal. The heavy sword still threatens to stab through his spine -- he remembers that a man in the village had had a wound like that -- probably received in some far more respectable manner -- and that guy had been paralysed from the waist down.
He can imagine his grandchildren asking "And how did you lose the use of your legs?" Come to think of it, there wouldn't be any grandchildren. Hey, this is serious!
Grot realises his military career would be over if he allowes the sword to slip downward, so he starts looking around for something that might look helpful. He faces the camp, his left arm flailing wildly as he turns. No way can he face the jeering if he goes and asks for help. He can't imagine a future leader of men being able to get ahead with a reputation for that sort of thing.
The aspiring future leader of men first sees them as he is trying to work out a way to either stand on his head or hang from a tree limb by his knees. Either maneuver would allow Grot to let go of the sword, which would fall to the ground and then he could pull his hand out through the bow. When he becomes a general, this sort of thinking will undoubtedly come in handy. The task at hand now is how to achieve an upside-down state. Of course he can't do a back flip in his armour (or in the buff, either -- if he could do that, he wouldn't need armour), and climbing doesn't appear to be a likely alternative, with his left hand in that ridiculous position. In fact, his hand has been pulled out of its glove -- which he doesn't mind so much a few seconds later when the Sea Peoples' arrow pins the glove to a tree, much to the amusement of the bowmen.
Happily, the alarm whistle doesn't require either hand. The first of the sea folk by him lets loose with a swing that means to behead him, but it hits his sword and he is knocked headlong. The blow also breaks his bow, so his right hand is free to draw his sword. But rather than thanking his benefactor, Grot jumps after him with deadly intent.
Derek battles the other undergrounders, using his coordinated surveillance techniques. Drow and Vergaantzers start fleeing onto the streets and cause panic throughout Frenkenford, which is precisely Derek's plan. Since few troops remain in the city, being with Andrea, pandemonium and fear rage in the city throughout the night. Andrea, Bartalt and members of each of their forces dream of this, via Derek's powers.
Andrea realizes that the Sea Peoples are behind her problems and tracks them overland.
Andrea's party ambushes Sea Peoples and drives the survivors off overland. She takes the ships downstream towards the confluence of the Notushabi and the Druidwash.
Bartalt marches toward Gagwytaspun, but is attacked several leagues east of Hotdamm. The Gagwytaspun forces retreat directly southward, and Bartalt gives chase all the way to the west end of the Mottly Mountains. There, the main bodies of Gagwytaspun forces vanish into the mountains. Meanwhile, Andrea's force has trouble getting up the Notushabi - their boats keep getting stolen or burnt. Back in Frenkenford, the Gagwytaspun group runs into Drow and a group of Veggies in different locations under the city, and flush them into the streets above. Its major defenses (Andrea's forces) out of town for generally unknown reasons, Frenkenford is plunged into chaos. The Veggies and Drow, totally unprepared for all this, are easily routed by the Gagwytaspuners, who are hailed by the peasantry as saviors of the city. Bartalt, his supply lines cut, is fed a story that Andrea is being held in the Sea Peoples' outpost of Fastness Island, which is where he leads his dwindling force.
Gagwytaspun takes control of Frenkenford and the entire upper Notushabi. Andrea and her forces flee downriver, believing Bartalt to be dead. They arrive in Foldrol on the same evening that Bartalt and his crew storm Fastness Island, which does not live up to its name. The island taken, the lowest dungeons searched and Andrea not found, Bartalt follows a group fleeing to Foldrol. There, he runs into Andrea who, although very drunk, has just gutted a would-be attacker on a side street. After initial greetings, this exchange reportedly takes place: "How'd you escape the Island?" "What island? We just got here from upriver. I'd heard you were dead." "Oops." They and their combined forces flee incognito to Lost, to lay low for the Sea Peoples to react to the invasion one of their favorite strongholds.
Before the attack on Fastness Island, Bartalt dreams he is following a grey moth through an empty shrine.
As the Gagwytaspuners build the customshouse, Ulklala and her band take advantage of the builders' need to appear like normal folks and work only one shift. The Drow build tunnels into the customshouse.
Gagwytaspuners complete building Frenkenford's new riverfront customshouse just in time to watch the Sea Peoples' fleet (with Blokkaus and Bunahnifice) sailing upriver to invade Plukiduck. The invasion is called off when it is found that Bartalt was not acting under orders and that New Tronbaum is prepared to attack Zoofeld and Smattering in response to any aggression against their cousins, the Plukiduckers. Arkaus goes to Fastness Island and proclaims himself true Sea King. Upon being attacked by Blokkaus and Bunahnifice, he transforms them into parrakeets and sends them to his sister. Nobles loyal to Blokkaus flee Fastness Island to the Easttowers and begin to summon their clans' fleets. Raukksaan, niece of Blokkaus, is chosen as their leader.
As the Sea Peoples' fleet approaches Frenkenford, Ulklala has catapults on the customshouse fire on their ships. The Sea Peoples attack any Gagwytaspuner they can lay their hands on.
Arkaus coronated Sea King. Blokkaus and Bunahnifice (still parrakeets) accidentally sat on and killed by Hoopla's mayor.
Bartalt, Andrea and forty of their followers go to the place in the Unwanted Mountains where they met. There they form the nucleus of a monk/ranger training center. Arkaus begins to implement anti-deathmagic fields for all Sea Peoples' installations.
Kylexi, daughter of Andrea and Bartalt, born in the southern Unwanted Mountains.
Her fleet assembled, Raukksaan sails with them to attack Asyncport, where the bulk of the Sea Peoples' ships are built.
Asyncport falls to Raukksaan's forces after a five month seige. Druids from N.O.F. begin a covert campaign of harassment against Asyncport. Arkaus re-takes the Easttowers by landing mercenary marines (lead by Bartalt, rumored to be handy at this sort of stuff) on the west side of Easttower Island who travel overland and swarm the landward side of the citadel. The entire attacking force, including Bartalt, are slain, but serve as a diversion for the naval attack.
Arkaus' forces blockade Asyncport.
Forces from Vergaantz invade N.O.F. to alleviate the siege of Asyncport from the land side. This suffices, for the druids fear that Unguent might awaken, and his loyalty in the situation would be uncertain, for he has descendents on each side.
Asyncport falls to Arkaus in an all out attack including Elven gliders launched from the NOF's mountains. Raukksaan flees south and winds up in Karnak.
Raukksaan gates to Gamma World scenario.
Raukksaan becomes a Cybernetic Installation on Soleri, a floating arcology.
Raukksaan and her soldiers edged into the chamber, as the whining sound descended into a near bellow.
The light's blue tinge was increasing and the floor's movement slowed.
She approached the console at the center of the room because it reminded her of a shrine with which she had once been familiar. A screen in the center of the counter was making geometric patterns in time to the howling of the generators -- that's what they were, but she hadn't known that before.
"Boss, are you glowing on purpose?" asked Benny.
She heard his voice a lot more clearly than she should have. She saw him from several angles at once: she even saw herself standing there.. no, mre like falling over.. Definitely falling over..
She realised she was inside the brain of this monstrosity. This arcology, her new memories informed her. One large sized, self sustaining mobile living environment. Great. She had become a ship.
She got back to noticing her compatriots just as they were divvying up the contents of her now lifeless form's pockets. It took a bit to figure out how to talk to them.
"HEY YOU! STOP THAT!"
These were the first words from the public address system in over a century. It sounded throughout the city, and more than a few inhabitants took it personally. Raukksaan noticed more than a few hasty exits and whispered apologies among her perceived innards.
Her former buddies were making for the door, which she whizzed shut ahead of them. She sent a set of security 'bots trundling off in the direction of their control room. Judging from the way folks screamed and their avidly demonstrated desire to be eelsewhere, Raukksaan guessed that the 'bots had been out of general circulation recently.
She reached out to find out what other goodies she could inflict on her compatriots. Turning out the lights while depressurizing the compartment seemed to give them something to occupy themselves with. When she overrode the door locks to allow the 'bots in, the difference in air pressure yanked them off their wheelbases and onto the gasping gang.
Kylexi leaves Arlaus and returns to the Unwanted Mountains.
Feralae, daughter of High Consul Grassom, born.
Feralae goes on holiday in Khazumthaiit.
Feralae marries a two hundred year old dwarf baker named Kruuk.
Vergaantz troops on Sea Peoples' ships invade Khazumthait as far as the first level of Deeperdelf, ostensibly to rescue Feralae from her "abductor."
Initial military engagements in the invasion of Khazumthait cost several thousand lives on every side. That, coupled with the revelation that the couple was happy together, prompted the Sea Peoples' abrupt departure from the area. Vergaantzers were able to capture one Sea Peoples' ship, and they renamed her the Blistering Wind. On this, 240 returned to Vergaantz. 4000 were left behind. These were taken prisoner by the dwarves, who buried them alive in dwarves' coffins.
As sort of an apology, the Sea Peoples give Vergaantz permission to build a small fleet.
Khazumthait petitions New Tronbaum for permission to march across to Vergaantz. This petition is re-submitted every five years up to the present, with 2 exceptions.
Feralae -- having gone mad from guilt feelings, some say -- kills Kruuk and returns to Clampdown.
Molokai invades Khazumthait and New Tronbaum with 50,000 orcs and 200 dragons. Its attempted thrust into Toehold fails to get over the Leftfoot Mountains.
Vergaantz troops march across the Unwanted Mountains and Flahberghast and into the Berzerker Range to cut off Molokai's supply lines. Khazumthait, New Tronbaum, Toehold and Sea Peoples marines exterminate most of Molokai's forces. The remainder flee back across the Berzerker range with their enemies in hot pursuit. Vergaantz forces return home.
Once the invaders reach the Molokai interior, undead forces close off their escape.
After a long and exhausting campaign, the last of the forces invading Molokai dies. New Tronbaum, Khazumthait and Toehold lose their best fighters, most of whom become undead in Molokai's service. Included among the undead is New Tronbaum's queen, Mergatril.
Feralae bursts into flames on a street in Clampdown - no remains found.
Hyrst N'uhlr born in New Tronbaum.
Hyrst N'uhlr coronated king of New Tronbaum.
Mergatril sends word from Molokai that she's ready to re-assume her throne in Finagle.
Kodisel born in Twystenshaut, bastard daughter of Klodomuk's queen.
Kodisel sent to House of the Velvet Dragon to undergo training.
Kodisel goes to Smattering Academy.
On a dare one night, Kodisel travels to Finagle and sneaks into Hyrst N'uhlr's throne room/sleeping quarters. The Pallid Throne communicates with her there.
Hyrst N'uhlr and Kodisel married.
